While one could talk of an increased interest in the Munāẓara tradition, there is a dearth of primary sources in English. Further, the few available translations do not use terminology that makes what Munāẓara has to offer easily accessible to modern day argumentation and debating enthusiasts, be that on the theoretical or the practical level.
Having received the preliminary results of our Report on Munāẓara Manuscripts (attached), we organized a workshop (link, report attached) with respected scholars such as Dr. Necmettin Pehlivan, Prof. Dr. Recep Şentürk, Dr. Walter Edward Young, Dr. Safaruk Chowdhury, and Dr. Syamsuddin Arif.
